Hesper est une sculpture qui est une œuvre musicale interactive.

La finalité de Hesper est de montrer qu'une œuvre d'art est bien vivante puisqu'elle n'existe que par l'action et la volonté combinées du créateur et de l'observateur. Simple sculpture inerte, Hesper prend vie et devient musique dès lors que l'on s'en approche. Sa musique, soumise à l'influence de l'ensemble de ses capteurs et de paramètres aléatoires, offre une infinité de variations dans son interprétation à l'instar d'un orchestre interagissant en permanence avec son public et faisant ainsi de chaque représentation un moment unique. Il s'agit d'une pièce musicale originale, composée par Lamozé pour Hesper et exclusivement pour Hesper, aucune reproduction de cette œuvre par un autre média ne pouvant en donner une interprétation fidèle.

C'est donc le geste de l'observateur qui permet à l'oeuvre de révéler sa nature véritable et cachée. Ode à l'animisme ancestral, Hesper est l'expression de la quête du geste primordial et créateur. De subtiles références à la Santeria jalonnent cette réalisation. Chacun des 6 modules disposés sur la surface sphérique de la sculpture est la transposition visuelle d'une abstraction de l'unité musicale de l'oeuvre.

Hesper est entièrement autonome et ne nécessite aucune installation préalable, toute la technologie participant à son fonctionnement et à son mode unique de diffusion sonore est intégrée et dissimulée dans sa structure.

Hesper shows that a work of art is very alive as it can exist only by the combined will and action of both the creator and the observer. Basically a mere sluggish sculpture, Hesper however takes life and becomes music when you approach it. His music, submitted to the influence of all the sensors and random parameters can offer an infinite number of interpretations following the example of an orchestra interacting permanently with the audience so that every representation turns out to be a unique and one-of-the-kind moment. It is a single original musical work, composed by Lamozé only for Hesper and exclusively for Hesper. Consequently, any reproduction of this musical creation with another medium cannot stick to this unique interpretation and will actually distort it.

It is therefore the observer's movements that enable the artwork to reveal its true and hidden nature. Ode to ancestral animism, Hesper is the expression of the quest for the essential and creative gesture. Subtle references to Santeria punctuate this powerful achievement. Each of the 6 modules arranged on the spherical surface of the sculpture represents the visual transposition resulting from an abstraction of the musical unity of the work of art.

Hesper is a stand-alone device that does not requires any prior installation since all the working-system-technology is integrated and hidden within the structure.
